My research work is mainly in the fields of Medical Image Processing, Computer Vision and Computer Graphics: I am interested in 3D modelling, shape analysis, salient points detection and characterization and global shape description; I also work for the development of basic image processing methods (e.g upsampling, vesselness extraction, texture analysis) and computer vision techniques (e.g motion estimation, optical flow applications, etc.). I am also particularly interested in the application of image processing and computer vision to the medical domain and I am involved in related international research projects.
